GVA Entry and Exit Information

Gainesville Virtual Academy

Gainesville Virtual Academy (GVA) is a GCSS School of Choice and reserves the right to establish enrollment limits in all grades, classes, and/or programs. Therefore, space must be available within the established cap amount for each grade level in order to honor requests for enrollment at GVA.

We are launching the process for continuing enrollment as well as for applications for entry and exit from GVA for second semester. We will be adhering to strict deadlines in order to ensure all students at our brick and mortar schools as well as GVA are provided with the highest quality of instruction and support. 

Enrollment for GVA for the second semester is now through October 31.  Parents must indicate their preferred enrollment for each student in their family no later than October 31. The online form is available to families in both Spanish and English. Visit the school system website under the menu tab Schools > Gainesville Virtual Academy to access the form.

Applying for entry or exit is not a guarantee that a request will be granted. All requests will be considered on a first come, first serve basis and will consider the space available within the established cap amount for each grade level.

All parents whose children enroll in GVA for second semester (both those continuing enrollment and those newly enrolled) will be required to sign a contract as a condition of participation in the program. Contracts will be sent to families following the end of the enrollment window (October 5-31).
