Employee and Student Records


The Employee and Student Records office also manages the personnel document services for all district employees, ensuring that employee files are maintained accurately, safely, and in compliance with the adopted GCSS record retention schedule. Student transcript requests are also handled in this office. Transcript requests require at least a 72 hour turn around and cost $3.

Transcript Requests

 1. Former students must present a photo ID along with a fee of $3. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Gainesville City Schools.

2. If students can't appear in person, please send a photo ID via email  to [email protected] Check or money order of $3 payable to Gainesville City Schools is also required to process transcript.

3. Companies requesting a student's transcript must have a signed Request of Information form signed by the student and a fee of $3 will apply. Checks or money orders are payable to Gainesville City Schools and should be mailed to 508 Oak Street Gainesville, GA 30501, ATTENTION: Student Records Clerk

Employee Records

Employees or former employees may request a copy of their employment records by Lynn Jones @ [email protected]. There is a 72 hour turn around for processing and a cost of 5 cent per page for copies.
