Gainesville City Schools is somewhat unique in that it empowers parents and students to choose which school best suit their educational needs based on space and availability at their school of choice. Free bus transportation is provided to all students living within the city school district regardless of distance. The bus driver is in charge of the bus. Students must comply with the instructions of the driver.
Gainesville City School System empowers parents and students to choose which school best suits their educational needs based on attendance clusters and availability at their school of choice. The GCSS Transportation department is committed to offering quality, safe and secure transportation to and from school for all bus riders. Free bus transportation is provided to all students living within the city school district regardless of distance. Students must comply with the instructions of the bus driver whenever traveling via GCSS Transportation.
