 Dear Parent/Guardian
 
The Gainesville Middle School  Parent Involvement Program welcomes you and your family to 2012-2013 school year. We encourage you as a parent/guardian to remain engaged in your child’s education, both inside and outside of the classroom. Your involvement will help your sons and daughters be more successful now and in the future.
 
Our children need all of our support to reach their potential as great thinkers, innovators and leaders. The commitment we make nowwill benefitour state and country as they become citizens of the world , competing and collaboration in an ever-changing global landscape.
 
There are many ways to be involved with your child’s learning. This includes not only establishing routine homework habits, but also making time to get to know your child’s teacher and other staff member at his or her school and asking how your child can find success this school year.
 
Your son/daughter will receive services through the Title I program. Title I is committed to helping all students reach their full educational potential. We will be most successful when you are actively involved with your child’s schoolwork.
 
The Parent Involvement Program has planned and exciting year of workshops and activities to assist you in assisting your child to be successful this year.
 
We urge you to join us by participating in the activities and workshops we have planned for this year. Let us know how we are doing; your suggestion are always welcome. The Title I Teachers and Parent Coordinator are available to assist you in anyway possible. Our Parent Resource Center is located in room 136, hours of operation is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
 
I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure their success. Please join me in this pledge so that our children can be successful in the 2012-2013 school year and beyond.

El Programa de la Participación de Padre de la Gainesville Middle School les dice  bienvenidos a usted y su familia al regreso al año escolar 2012-2013.  Les animo que se mantengan envuelto en la educación de su hijo/hija, tanto como adentro y afuera de su salón. Su participación ayudará a sus hijos e hijas ser más exitosas ahora y en el futuro.
 
Nuestros niños necesitan todo nuestro apoyo para alcanzar su potencial como gran pensadores, innovadores y líderes. El compromiso que hacemos ahora beneficiará nuestro estado y el país según ellos llegan a ser ciudadanos del mundo, compitiendo y colaborando en un global que cambia su paisaje.
 
Hay muchas maneras de envolverse en el aprendizaje de su hijo/hija. Esto incluye no sólo estableciendo hábitos rutinarios de tareas pero también haciendo tiempo de conocer el maestro de su hijo/hija y otros empleados en su escuela y preguntando cómo su niño puede encontrar éxito este año escolar.
 
Su hijo/hija recibirá los servicios a través del Programa Título. El Título I esta cometido a ayudar a todos los estudiantes alcanzar su potencial educativo en lleno. Seremos más exitosos cuando usted esta activamente envuelto en el trabajo escolar de su hijo/hija.
 
El Programa de la Participación del Padre ha planeado y año emocionante de talleres y actividades para ayudarle a ayudar a su hijo/hija a tener éxito este año.
 
Nosotros le instamos a unirse con nosotros este año, tomar parte en las actividades y los talleres. Déjenos saber cómo estamos haciendo; sus sugerencias son siempre bienvenidas. Los Maestros del Título I y la Coordinadora de Padre están disponibles para ayudarle en la manera que sea posible. Nuestro Centro de Recurso Para Padre esta ubicado en el salón 136. Las horas de funcionamiento es de 8:00  a 11:00 de la mañana y de 1:00 a 4:00  PM

Dear Parent,
 
If you do not speak English or are not comfortable with English, we have bilingual parent involvement coordinators at each of our schools.  These coordinators will arrange for an interpreter for meetings or provide an interpretation of any written school documentation.  General school or district-wide notices are disseminated in both English and Spanish, as are the communications such as newsletters from the school.  The Gainesville City School System uses an automated calling service (Connect Ed), as an additional means of general communication with parent.  All Connect Ed messages are provided in both English and Spanish.
 
Vital messages or communications directed to individual students are also provided in the native language of the parent whenever possible.  Should a parent receive a written notice that they do not understand, the parent should contact the parent involvement coordinator for an interpretation.
