The Gainesville City School System has taken extra steps to protect children in our care by partnering with the Edmonson Telford Child Advocacy Center to provide Stewards of Children® training to all school system employees – from educators and coaches to bus drivers and administrators. By training more than 90 % of all school system employees, GCSS has earned Partner in Prevention designation.
Partner in Prevention was created as a national standard to help parents and caregivers recognize organizations that take child protection seriously by implementing policy and training staff to prevent child abuse.
