In an effort to ensure that we have the healthiest environment possible, please do not send your student(s) to school if they are sick with flu like symptom; specifically, a fever or vomiting. Students should not return to school for 24 hours after the fever or vomiting stops. Please know students coming back after being sick will be able to complete all school work, projects and tests missed as a result of illness. It is important that we follow these guidelines to maximize a healthy environment for all students.
Gainesville City School System is pleased to offer school choice enrollment for the upcoming 2018-19 school year. The district has established elementary zone clusters in order to improve transportation services.
