The 11 Alive Mobile Weather Van |

Josh Johnson visited GEA with his Mobile Weather Van. Mr. Johnson allowed the sudents to see the inside of the weather van and explained how the equipment operates. All of the children were recorded and appeared on Channel 11 news that evening. Mr. Johnson discussed weather, weather disasters, and how to keep safe during bad weather. |

Friendly Fireman comes to visit. |

Tristen Cruz, an Alpharetta City Fire Fighter, spoke with students about how a fireman would do his job when he must come to the rescue. He explained his uniform and breathing equipment. This discussion was great in helping the kids feel safe and not afraid in case a fireman has to come to their home. |

Elachee provides a wonderful resource for our Students. In this program students were able to learn about interesting characteristics about our native reptiles. The kids were able to actually touch a snake. |

Firemen from one of our Gainesville fire departments came and allowed the students to inspect a firetruck inside and out. They also discussed fire safety with the kids. |
